I live in a fertile valley at the base of the Rocky Mountains. It is a quiet life, one where laughter comes easy, love easier. Sounds perfect and yet trials of all kinds present themselves. I was raised on ten acres with four siblings, my mother and my father. Dad worked in a sawmill and Mom worked as a librarian. They were busy and we were allowed to roam the creeks, the woods and the nearby cemetery. All places of good fun. In my Memoir you may read about that childhood. The ideas for my books come from this simple background, but the characters are multifaceted. No one is all good or all bad. Kind of like the people I know.
This is the north corner of my back porch. A lovely spot to spend a warm sunny morning.
This is the south side of the same porch. As you can see I love flower gardening.
When I am not writing, gardening or golfing, I make patch quilts for my large family.
My husband. We had 53 years together.
I'd like to say they were perfect,
but what they were was real.
